Comments
EdQx-43, Baker: Salvage excavations by I.R. Wilson Consultants Ltd. uncovered three dwellings and a smudge pit in Zone 3 at this site. A drilled olivella shell, 12 keyhole limpet beads (8 in direct association with a drilled and polished elk canine pendant), and an abundance of red ochre were recovered in addition to the 93,000 pieces of lithic debitage and 17,500 tools, including about 100 of bone. AECV-1320 was collected during initial testing, and its relationship to the cultural sequence is unclear. Both AECV-1617 and AECV-1644 from Zone 1 are anomalously old in relation to the younger dates on underlying Zone 3.
