- GbTo-36, Baldwin: It was a Coast Tsimshian village, measuring about 60 x 25 m and averaging 1.5 m in depth for a volume of about 2250 cubic m of which 208 cubic m was excavated. The site was destroyed by harbour construction. It had been badly disturbed by railroad construction in AD 1910, World War II defence encampments and recent small cabins, leaving only the back platform area intact. As with other sites in the area, the inland area dates later than the front, probably as a result of population pressure forcing expansion inland. The start of this behaviour was in the Middle period, 1500 BC to AD 500. S-871, S-872, and S-990 are acceptable dates. S-873 is somewhat later than the 500 BC estimate but is acceptable. S-991 indicates a degree of midden disturbance.
