Context
Feature 3, a moderately deep, steep-sided unlined basin hearth exposed in Levels 4 and 5. Meas. 70 x 98 cm. Exposed at 32 cm bmgs. No oxidation rind. Fill was compacted darkly stained sediments with a moderate density of charcoal. A burned mano found in the center of the hearth. A concentration of charcoal was located adjacent to the feature at ca. 45 cm bmgs, in Level 5. Possibly deposited by rodent activity. It was the charcoal from this concentration that was dated.
