Context
Feature 2, charred twig. A rock and charcoal filled roasting or steaming pit in the bed of the trail near the SE margin of the site. Meas 63 x 72 cm in dia., 12 cm deep. A small pile of oxidized earth and charcoal on the occupation surface SW of the basin appeared to have been dumped there following removal for the hearth. Margins of basin were oxidized. Fill: 46 quartzite cooking stones (5.53 kg), plus additional small, angular frags., 48 pieces of debitage from fill and mound of dumped material, a few utilized flakes, small pieces of burned bone
