Comments
JdUr-5, Canyon City: This settlement was occupied during the Klondike Gold Rush. In addition to investigations of a North West Mounted Police barracks and other historic features, excavations beneath the remains of a burned cabin uncovered a projectile point similar to the late Palaeoindian Agate Basin type. However, associated charcoal produced late Holocene dates, suggesting either contamination from the burning of the cabin or introduction of the projectile point from some other context.
