- A variety of notched, lanceolate, and Kayuk-style projectile points were found during excavations at this site. Side notched projectile points microblades, microblade cores, scrapers, pebble net-sinkers, and a variety of blade tools are present in the assemblage. This site was most significant for the many hearths found (almost one in every cluster) and the discovery of a house feature with an internal hearth. Eight radiocarbon dates ranging from 2576±157 to 6510±610 were obtained from charred bone fragments and charred earth in various clusters (Gal 1982). Although the 6510 B.P. date is frequently cited, the majority of the dates were between 3000 and 3600 years B.P. Although several clusters at Tuktu-Naiyuk fit within the definition of the Northern Archaic, occupations of this site occurred throughout the latter part of the Holocene.
