Comments
The sample is a worked (grooved, split and whittled) moose metatarsal. In 2004, NPS recovered several hundred pounds of faunal remains, charcoal and botanical samples, ceramics, antler and bone tools, and lithic artifacts. Little if any of the main locality remains.
