Comments
Two indistinct semi-subterranean house pits, and several other smaller features (probably caches) were located at this site. During recent testing, it was shown that a lens of charcoal is present right under the sod. Ten grey chert pressure flakes were found in one of the test pits (one is possibly an alternate flake), and some fire-cracked rock might also be present. A midden was found south-south-east and lower on the slope from the house pit where the datum nail without a tag was placed in 1985 (10.5 meters from the datum). Some roots adhered to the charcoal sample, but did not seem to penetrate. Charcoal was cleaned and Identified by Claire Alix in Aug 2006.
