- This sample came from same sealed, undisturbed shell midden as WIS-1585, assoc with Lane Farm Cord-Impressed pottery. It was subm to confirm first date (1180 ± 70 BP), which was ca 200 yr younger than expected. Close correspondence of 2 dates suggests that Lane Farm phase in SW Wisconsin dates to 8th century AD.
