- Samples from Smiley-Evans site, large fortified campsite in Butte Co. (44 degrees 40' N, 103 degrees 50' W) coll in 1979 and 1980 and subm by LM Alex, South Dakota Archaeol Research Center, Ft. Meade. Excavation revealed fortification stockade and ditch
