Context
Charcoal from Feature 17e, associated with Floor # 2 (lower floor) in Structure 17. Feature 17e was probably a hearth, meas. 85 cm in dia, 21 cm deep, filled with a thick layer of charcoal; also oxidized soil and burnt stones. Debitage, FSTs, charred Chenopodium in fill. Structure 17 was a boulder clearing with 2 hardpacked living surfaces and several hearths. Feature 17e/HEARTH/STRUCTURE16/17; assoc. with lower occupation surface (BUT arbitrary excavation!).
