Context
13C corrected. Stratum 8, Hearth 15, ca. 70 cm bmgs; a large, widespread lens of charcoal, ash, and FCR, averaging 10 cm thick. The hearth is within the area protected by the overhang and is assoc. with the most intensive use of the shelter. Its use surface zone contained relatively abundant artifacts, including an obsidian Rose Springs C/N point and a possible wooden artifacts. This zone evidenced the last major use of the site before its interior surfaces were subject to periodic puddling.
