13 1/2 to 25 1/2 inches, uppermost stake; Sample taken from upper peat muck from 0.9m to 1.2m depth (Holocene), underlain by gray sandy clay (Pleistocene fossil-bearing) zone. Stake was recovered from a 1.5m X 1.5m excavation square (Sq 5R, Quad 2) in oblique vertical position in situ from 34.3cm to 64.8cmbs
