BbDh-6, Eel Weir: This is a multicomponent site excavated by Parks Canada in 1982 and 1983. The late prehistoric assemblage consists of corner-notched points with serrated edges, many thumbnail scrapers and cord-wrapped stick ceramics. Some associations between early ceramic forms (dentate-stamped) and Late Woodland dates may reflect heavy disturbance by continuous occupation, with pit excavations by pre-contact occupants placing earlier materials into later contexts.
