- This 14C sample was taken after sampling column (Unit 84) was completed, directly from the profile. Taxa was identified by Dr. Kevin Hanselka. Portions of the untreated/unassayed specimen remain in the Ancient Southwest Texas Project collection at Texas State University. Stratum 358 was described in the field as, "Pit fill… Loose silty botanic-rich, charcoal flecked sediment overlaying intact plant remains, which line the pit."
