Context
Charcoal from Feature 121, onw of two rock-filled basin-shaped hearths in unit X37. Ca. 50 cm in dia on the ground surface and extended to ca. 25 cm below this eroded ground surface. Bottom partially lined with flat rocks. A thin vetical exposute of reddened earth was at the S contact betw the fill and the surrounding soil. Upper fill contained a small amt of burned rock, little was found in the lower fill. Fill had a moderate amt of quartzite debitage, a quartzite biface tip. Date reported by Jones 1986a is 6458 +/- 140 BP.
