Comments
GcEl-15, Lac Delorme, comments by D. Denton: Given the relatively large quantity and large size of the charcoal fragments, the sampled lens is interpreted as being composed of residues from the use of hearth 1. There is a small possibility that this lens may also represent the remnants of the old humus layer. In this case the C-14 determination would represent a maximum date for the occupation. Despite the small degree of uncertainty regarding the context, the date should be accepted. It is entirely in line with other sites in the region producing generally similar assemblages.
