Comments
DcJi-1, Cummins: This is an extensive quarry workshop and habitation site of the late Palaeoindian (Plano) period (Dawson, 1983b; Julig, 1994). All remaining human bone was used to obtain the date numbered CRNL-1216. The site has also produced a small amount of clearly identifiable Archaic material (Hinshellwood, 2004). Five late Holocene dates from apparent cultural contexts have been interpreted variously as representing intrusive charcoal from ancient tree throws and forest fires, or as dates reflecting the Archaic uses of the site.
