Comments
DbJm-3, MacGillivray: Dawson (1980: 48) revised his interpretation of GaK-1278 noting the absence of any trace of associated cultural material and considering the sample to be possibly derived from a forest fire. GaK-1942 dates a mound that does not overlie a living area. The mound is considered to represent an early Laurel settlement, whereas the habitation area at this site is believed to be several centuries later on the basis of ceramic analysis.
