AgHa-2, Middleport: This 2.0 ha village is the type site of the Middleport stage of the Ontario Iroquois tradition as defined by Wright (1966b). No radiocarbon dates were available from Wintemberg's original excavation, but eight dates resulted from much later efforts to mitigate the impact of highway construction. These dates are listed by Dodd, et al. (1990: Table 10.1) as rejected ages, but all of them are suspected to pertain to a little known Princess Point component at the site (J.V. Wright, p.c. 1997).
