Comments
ObPj-6 (00-DCA-032): Seven Palaeoeskimo features are situated on gravel raised beaches at two levels at this site: one group of 4 features at 13 m elevation and another group of 3 at 12-12.5 m. The site starts 10 m from the edge of an alluvial fan. Two samples were collected from a hearth in a midpassage in a tent ring on the 13 m level, the second feature from the east end of the site: 32a (AA-40852), charcoal; and 32b, bone, some burnt, including a ring seal canine and some bird bone. Chert flakes occur in this feature. The tent ring is 3.75 m wide and the midpassage is 3.05 x 0.55 m. Charcoal (32c AA-50853) was also collected from a hearth in a midpassage on the lower level at the west end of the site.
