- MkPk-7, Lapointe: This appeared to represent a single relatively heavy occupation by a band of caribou hunters. The small sample of artifacts includes four large lanceolate points. Although S-466 might have been contaminated, S-467 cannot have been and is definitely associated with the main occupation. In view of the scarcity of absolute dates on lanceolate points in this area, McGhee revised his estimate when submitting GX-1702 and considered the result to confirm the new estimate. Further excavation was undertaken by Morrison in 1979. He was able to isolate two components - the lanceolate point component distinguished by McGhee, and a deeper Pre-Dorset component that remains undated. This stratigraphic sequence supports McGhee's revised estimate and its Taltheilei affiliation, as suggested by B.C. Gordon.
