Comments
"No surface material of any kind was found at this site. However, because of the prominent nature of the locale, a test pit was excavated at the very top of the kame. The test pit encountered a hearth containing fire-cracked rock, a large amount of charcoal, and bone fragments, probably sheep or caribou. Both charcoal and bone were sampled. A single lithic cracked rock, a large amount of charcoal, and bone fragments, probably artifact of black chert was recovered from within the hearth; what appears to be the tip of a sideblade" (Kunz 1985:32).
