Test Trench 1, Feature 8 hearth (wood charcoal was greasewood) in Level D. A cobble filled hearth exposed in the NW wall of Test Trench 1. The pit had been placed between 2 large roof spalls which formed the sides of the pit - both were heavily oxidized. The feature was coveed by a small roof spall. Exposed part meas. 28 cm in dia., 18 cm thick. Occupation 3.
