Context
Charcoal from a hearth located ca. 1.7 m below and 10-20 cm N of the burial in what was a small remnant of a terrace. Fill contained several small river rocks. Parabolic in shape, ca. 30 cm wide, 6-10 cm thick. Date provides an age estimate of a portion of the terrace and indicates that the burial occured after ca. 1000 BP. Date is at the later end of the Post-Piney Creek alluvium, suggesting the burial to be of Colorado Plains Woodland or later cultural affiliation.
