Pre-treatment of the sample entailed charring of the whole bone. The normalized age is a minimum age.
Comments
EhNv-VP, Wiseton: Bone was cored in 1964 from a mammoth femur that had been collected in 1931. In view of the pre-treatment method employed at the time, S-232 should be considered a minimum age.
