- EfPm-104, Bow Bottom: Of 18 tipi rings identified at this site, 17 were in a buried soil about 40 cm below the surface of the terrace. The rings consisted of large cobbles, and all but one had a central hearth containing massive cobbles that may have served as a radiant heat source during a winter occupation. The high density of artifacts within many of the rings and the protected location of the site also suggest a winter occupation. The recovered projectile points include 18 Pelican Lake, three Besant, one Samantha, four Kootenay Plains side-notched, and eight flake points. Local pebble cherts and siltstones are represented among 85% of the lithics with very little exotic material present. It is not clear why so many point styles are present in a site that otherwise appears to represent a single occupation, and several arguments have been presented.
