Comments
BcDn-VP: A walrus tusk was dredged from the ocean floor. The sample was extracted as ultrafiltered gelatin. It was then treated by acid hydrolysis (6N HCl), and amino acid carboxyl CO2 was released using ninhydrin reagent. The delta 13C value of -12 per mil is estimated for this carboxyl CO2.
